Mission Statement

“Branches Fellowship is commited to a passionate pursuit of God, maturity in Christ, and the mission of evangelism through Biblically based teaching by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Our story

"I am the Vine; you are the Branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

John 15:5 (NIV)

Branches Christian Ministries (Branches Fellowship) was birthed in 1987 by the move of the Holy Spirit.

In 1988, Branches Fellowship established its ministry in the City of Rosemead. Branches Christian Ministries was birthed with a vision to reach not only the growing Asian-American population in the San Gabriel Valley but to go forth into all the nations. Through the years, the ministry has been open to the culturally diverse peoples in this community.

Our Pastors Daniel and Lily Kwok

Pastor Daniel and Lily Kwok have been the lead pastors of Branches Fellowship since 1998 after a season of serving in the lay leadership at Branches. Both were born in Hong Kong but raised in the U.S. Daniel began his career as a licensed architect when the Lord called him and his wife Lily to the pastorate. He received his Master of Divinity degree from The King's Seminary founded by Jack Hayford in Los Angeles and was formally ordained by the Church of Zion in Vancouver, Canada, under Pastor Gideon Chiu and Pastor Daniel Cheung. They were also married by them in 1991. Lily had been in the teaching profession for over 30 years and is now retired. Daniel and Lily have two sons, Micah and Jonathan, daughter-in-law, Jane, Micah's wife, and granddaughter, Isabella.

In their earlier years, both Daniel and Lily had life changing mission experiences with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). As a result, Daniel and Lily have a heart to nurture a family for God's kingdom that reflects His heart and will for the nations. Daniel seeks to raise up spiritual sons and daughters in the faith who are bold and passionate for Christ and will seek God first and His kingdom. Currently, Lily has been working with the Children's Ministry while Micah is participating as part of the worship team. They believe God the Father desires to see the generations walking together. They currently enjoy being grandparents and long to continue to travel and connect with the global family of God. Daniel enjoys photography and both enjoy watching Korean dramas together.
